  7. SoftNet Utilities is a software-only product that enables selected UNIX
  8. platforms to emulate a Novell NetWare 2.2 or 3.11 server to PC NetWare clients,
  9. without interfering with native UNIX abilities. The result is seamless file and
  10. print resource interoperability between NetWare and UNIX users
  11.  
  12. PC NetWare clients have direct access to the UNIX directories and printing
  13. resources without disk partitioning or the need to own PC-NFS. In addition,
  14. UNIX users can access printers attached to NetWare servers
  15.  
  16. Each package also includes a terminal emulator that allows NetWare clients to
  17. access UNIX hosts using the IPX protocol. In this manner, the NetWare client is
  18. not burdened with maintaining both IPX and TCP/IP protocols in order to access
  19. both UNIX and NetWare platforms

  21. SoftNet Utilities is packaged providing support for 16, 32, 64, 100, and 250
  22. concurrent NetWare users and an equivalent respective number of concurrent
  23. terminal emulation connections (i.e., the 32-user version would support 32
  24. concurrent NetWare connections and 16 concurrent terminal emulation
  25. connections).
